Testosterone and Estrogen are two important steroid hormones that both found in females and males, although in different ratios. For women, the more dominant hormone is the estrogen, along with progesterone. Estrogen hormone is primarily responsible for the development of female characteristics, and progesterone plays an important role in menstruation and pregnancy.
