You might have heard that marijuana can cure cancer, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and other diseases, but it’s addictive and illegal in many countries, so using it involves complications. CBD isolate—a chemical constituent of cannabis—is a great alternative to smoking marijuana.

CBD has more medical benefits than pure cannabis and is non-addictive and legal. CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound extracted from the hemp plant. It can cure many terminal and non-terminal diseases, and it has several health benefits.

Regarding CBD’s anti-cancer properties, many academic research institutes worldwide have proven its efficacy for treating symptoms of cancer and chemotherapy.

By using pregnenolone cream or pregnenolone supplements, the levels of the compound in the body increases, and this brings about various benefits such as fatigue relief, and delay of the aging process.

What Is CBD?

Cannabidiol or CBD is a naturally occurring cannabinoid. Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in the hemp plant.

A word of caution: some cannabinoids are extremely addictive. They can cause paranoia, impaired thinking, anxiety, IQ decline, sexual problems, hallucination, panic, and other harmful psychoactive effects.

The cannabis plant has over 100 cannabinoids some of which can be used for therapeutic purposes. Tetrahydrocannabinol—THC—is an example. It’s a psychoactive chemical constituent of the hemp plant.

Although THC has many health benefits, it also has adverse effects like anxiety, paranoia, and sexual problems. Cannabidiol, on the other hand, doesn’t get you stoned. CBD can even hamper the psychoactivity of THC.

Like most cannabinoids, CBD can relieve inflammation and symptoms of neurotic disorders. It can treat psychosis, spasms, seizures, anxiety, and other medical conditions without inflicting disconcerting feelings of dysphoria and lethargy.

In 2016, the US government sponsored a clinical and scientific research for cannabidiol. It underscored CBD’s potential for the treatment of various medical conditions, including diabetes, alcoholism, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, depression, PTSD, chronic pain, epilepsy, and antibiotic-resistant infections.

Further, the study emphasized that cannabidiol can treat most neurological disorders and has neuroprotective effects. This means that CBD protects neurons against degeneration, damage, and impairment of function.

According to the American Cancer Society, CBD can reduce vomiting and nausea linked to chemotherapy. It can also prevent weight loss and improve food intake of HIV and cancer patients.

In 2016, an animal study review indicated that CBD can relieve anxiety-related disorders. The review showed the potential of CBD for treating drug dependence and addictive disorders.

The Fundamentals of CBD Isolate

What Is CBD Isolate?

CBD isolate—the purest form of cannabidiol—is a fine white powder containing 99% CBD.

To create this CBD extract, cannabidiol is isolated and refined. This extraction process removes minute traces of other cannabinoids, plant materials, and terpenes to produce pure CBD.

CBD Isolate is a good option if you want a THC-free product.

It has no odor or taste, so you can use it to formulate topicals and edibles. Since it’s 99% pure, you can control the amount of CBD that you want to add to a product.

CBD Is Legal Almost Everywhere

Since cannabidiol isn’t psychoactive, merchandises that contain CBD like CBD oil products skirt the legal ban on marijuana.

When you undergo a drug test, it’s THC that is illegal. Drug tests aim to detect traces of THC in your system, not cannabis.

Cannabis without THC is called hemp. In most countries, the regulations governing hemp are different from the rules placed on marijuana.

States that haven’t legalize marijuana yet has laws that allow people to use low-THC or CBD-only products.

CBD Isolates Are Not Psychoactive

Why is CBD Isolates not psychoactive? The cannabinoid type 1 receptor or CB1 is responsible for inducing hallucinations and reinstating drug-seeking behaviors.

Imagine that THC is the male plug while the CB1 receptor is the female plug. Negative psychoactive effects occur when the male plug is inserted into the female plug.

By contrast, CBD acts as an antagonist to substances that initiates physiological responses when combined with CB1. Such substances mimic anandamide or the bliss molecule.

Anandamide is a naturally produced neurotransmitter. It’s the one responsible for inducing the runner’s high.

Psychoactive cannabinoids function like anandamide. They produce the same blissful feelings.

In summary, CBD isn’t psychotropic. This means that it won’t induce euphoria or alter your perception of reality and it mutes the effects of psychoactive substances.

How CBD Isolates Work

CBD targets various proteins in the nervous system. These proteins are responsible for regulating cell activities of your body.

CBD functions as an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory effects. It interacts with some of the brain’s signaling system to relieve anxiety, pain, and nausea and to protect cells from damages caused by neurodegenerative diseases.

The endocannabinoid system—ECS—has numerous receptors that bind to CBD. The chemical interactions induced by the bonding process produce a series of responses that are beneficial to your body.

Due to its non-psychoactive healing properties, CBD has become a quite popular option for people seeking a natural alternative to treat conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety, epilepsy, and more.

By using pregnenolone cream or pregnenolone supplements, the levels of the compound in the body increases, and this brings about various benefits such as fatigue relief, and delay of the aging process.

How CBD Affects Male Potency

CBD suppresses the oxidation—breakdown—of testosterone, and contrary to most beliefs, it doesn’t lower the levels of circulating serum testosterone.

In fact, it lowers cortisol and prolactin levels. Prolactin and cortisol negatively affect libido.

Prolactin decreases levels of sex hormones in men. Cortisol is released when your body reacts to stress. And like prolactin, it decreases your libido and your body’s hormone levels. It also causes erectile dysfunction because it restricts blood flow into your penis.

How to Use CBD Isolates

CBD in crystalline form can be mixed to different products, so you can use it in many different ways.

  • Sublingually

Place a small amount of CBD under your tongue. Let it sit there for 60-90 seconds before swallowing.

This is the easiest method to use. It enables the CBD to enter your bloodstream faster than other methods.
  • Make CBD Oils

Dissolve CBD isolate to avocado or coconut oil to make CBD tinctures. You can add the CBD oil to your drinks and meals.
  • Use It as an Ingredient

CBD isolate can be mixed with other ingredients. By doing so, you can make CBD edibles.
  • Vaping CBD

180-200 degrees Celsius is the ideal vaporization point for dabbing CBD. By vaporizing CBD isolates, you can inhale pure CBD vapor and prevent any amount of CBD from getting to your liver.

It’s widely known that marijuana has medical benefits and it’s a good alternative to prescription drugs. But despite this, many people shy away from using it because of its adverse effects.

Even though pure CBD products—like CBD isolate and CBD oils—are made from the cannabis plant, they won’t get you high, unlike THC and marijuana. When you use them, you can acquire all of their benefits without being stoned.
